Here's a list of the richest superheroes, comic book characters and most flush villains of all time, ranked from richest to not-so-richest, and whose favorite color is green. Comic book characters list many various ways to make money, but they’re keeping those kinds of secrets to themselves.
As per record, I am not including any characters on this list whose wealth cannot be quantified, so I'm not including any extra-terrestrials such as “The Collector” or Gods like “Odin and Thor”, nor am I including guys like “Namor” and “Aquaman”, who would be definitely wealthy due to being rulers and having access to any shipwrecks they should want.
10. Charles Xavier (Professor X)
When you run a gifted school for mutants and look all holy and righteous, people give you money for your foundation. In addition to the funding, "Professor X" inherited a large sum of money from his parents, who were nuclear scientists. He also achieved wealth with his research work in genetics and psychology.
He can afford technology that would make even the most state of the art scientific facilities blush, he has his own private super-sonic spy plane (which alone is worth many millions of dollars) and still has enough cash left over to be able to fund his own private school. If it wasn't obvious enough by the mansion, Professor X is rolling in dough.
Net Worth: $3.5 billion
9. Norman Osborn (Green Goblin)
Osborn is also famous as the "Green Goblin" to those out of the loop. We were only going to focus on good guys? Hell no. What fun is there in that? This Spider-man villain owns Oscorp, plus, in some recent comics, became the director of "SHIELD". Yes, that happened. When you run SHIELD, you pretty much have pristine rule over everything and money is not an issue.
Net Worth: $5 billion.
8. Oliver Queen (Green Arrow)
Yet another industrialist, Oliver Queen is the former head of Queen Industries, originally a weapons manufacturer and now head of Queen Industry’s subsidiary Q-Core, which produces more everyday electronic items. He has also gained some measure of political power, becoming Mayor of Star City for a time. His estimated wealth ties him with our number 7 spot, however there are a few factors that place Queen in 8th. Queen has sold off his company at least 3 times, as well as the fact that he has lost his fortune and had to rebuild it from scratch.
Net Worth: $7 billion
7. Batman (Bruce Wayne)
Owner of Wayne Enterprises, Inc. Bruce Wayne has the honor of being the richest man in the DC comic’s universe. Dead parents and a strong drive for revenge, when paired with a lot of money, can make you a superhero, kids. Remember, Batman has "no powers" at all other than a lot of cash, some cool toys, and a vast knowledge of self-defense. But that is enough to make him into a bad ass, insane, sociopath who dresses as a bat to beat up other guys who dress up strangely.
Net Worth: $9.2 billion
6. Lex Luthor
A notable businessman, inventor, scientist, media mogul and philanthropist, Alexander "Lex" Luthor is a self-made billionaire and one of the most powerful figures in the world in DC continuity (what little there is left of it), both financially and politically. He has used his vast fortune to fund many foundations, charities and civic improvements, as well as funding his own successful presidential campaign. He, like many other on this list, has also invested his money into scientific endeavors, such as synthesizing Kryptonite or creating weaponized battle suits. His company, LexCorp, is a highly successful multinational conglomerate, with contracts in aerospace engineering, oil extraction and distribution, media, utilities, waste management, communications, real estate, finances, transportation and security, amongst many other areas. At one point, LexCorp employed approximately two-thirds of Metropolis' 11 million population.
Net Worth: $11 billion
5. Reed Richard (Mister Fantastic)
Mister Fantastic (Reed Richards) is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character is a founding member of the Fantastic Four. Richards possesses a mastery of mechanical, aerospace and electrical engineering, chemistry, all levels of physics, and human and alien biology. Business Week listed Mr. Fantastic as one of the top ten most intelligent fictional characters in American comics. He is the inventor of the spacecraft that was bombarded by cosmic radiation on its maiden voyage, granting the Fantastic Four their powers. Richards gained the ability to stretch his body into any shape he desires.
Net Worth: $12 billion
4. Iron Man
Iron Man is one who does not shy away from the fact that he has money, but rather, enjoys it. He lets all the world know he is doing just fine, and knows how to make the most out of his loot. Another rich guy who decided to use his money to become a superhero and fight the greater evil, Tony Stark may have issues with women and alcohol, but money issues are the last of his worries.
Net Worth: $12.4 billion
3. Kingpin
Kingpin, whom many of you know as a nemesis of Daredevil, is also a rich bad guy. The name alone should let you know he plays no games. The Kingpin of Crime: it just screams power. So what kind of power are we talking about here? Thirty billion in power. The kind of power that could pretty much ensure you could get away with anything you wanted. For example, beating up a blind guy all the time… someone had to say it.
Net Worth: $30 billion
2. Doctor Doom
For those not paying attention to the Marvel Comic Universe right now, Doom is pretty much God, lording over everything and everyone. As many people know, you cannot rise to a position like that without having a nice nest egg to back it up. In this case, seeing as to how Doom also has a country (a running theme here), his net worth is rumored to be around thirty five billion dollars.
Net Worth: $35 billion
1. T'Challa (Black Panther)
Yes, almost 100 trillion dollars. Sounds like something Dr. Evil would say without knowing its worth. The wealth comes from yet another character who runs a country. Black Panther has reign over the kingdom of Wakanda, an African country that is the sole location vibranium can be mined.
What is vibranium? The most indestructible material in existence that’s apparently worth $10,000 per gram. How much vibranium does Wakanda have? About 10,000 tons. You can do the math and see just how much that’s worth.
